Philadelphia: the city of brotherly love was the first ship to raise the flag Lawaie e Ahmadiyyat in the United States of America. Our Admiral, Mufti Muhammad Sadiq (rh) paraded the very streets that our Khuddam and Atfal also do: to spread the message of Islam and Ahmadiyyat to the corners of the Earth. Ninety three years later from that most memorable docking, Philadelphia Majlis has earned the prestige to be among the best: an Alami Anami honoree. Mufti Muhammad Sadiq use to walk the streets, ride on buses and even served in jail. Through all these experiences, he converted many people to follow the teachings of Hazrat Masih Maud (as). Today, our Khuddam and Atfal participate in weekly Tabligh activities spreading the message of love for all, hatred for none as did our Admiral ninety three years ago. Our majlis have been blessed with many early American Ahmadi converts (Naib Amir Munir Hamid Sahib, Missionary Bilal Abdus Salaam Sahib, and First Mutamim Ishat of National MKA Amila, Brother Hussain Abdul Aziz) who have kept the torch of Ahmadiyyat in America lit with fire. The Khuddam and Atfal are the children of their legacy.

Growing up in Philadelphia Majlis, our Mosque was acquired in 1982. We remember Hazrat Khalifatul Masih IV (rh) visit in 1989. We cannot forget the countless hours we spent cooking food in Langer at National Ijtemas at Cheyney. This year, we organized the largest blood drive collecting over 1500 bags of blood. We continuously kept our highways fresh and clean so that our visitors can acclaim that Hazrat Masih Maud (as) Jammat lived up to the Islamic principles of cleanliness. With over seventy Khuddam and Atfal, we hold weekly Khuddam and Atfal nights. If it is doing security at Jalsas, delivering refreshments to volunteers or cleaning our Masjid, the first answer out of a Philadelphia Khadim and Tifl is: Yes, I can do it. Yes, I am ready to serve. Yes, I am ready to lead. Yes, I am ready. We are sailors aboard an old ship that has carried the age of Ahmadiyyat in America, yet we remain young and ambitious always determined to sacrifice our life with time, wealth and honor for the sake of our faith, country and nation. We are Philadelphia: the love of brothers. Please visit us anytime.
